His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA), received the “Leading Entity in Empowering People of Determination” Award deom the Global ESG Awards, in recognition of the MPDA’s extensive journey with high-quality programs and sustainable initiatives geared towards supporting and empowering people of determination, and instilling the principles of inclusivity and social responsibility across its various services.

Recognition of Sustainable Social Responsibility Journey

During the honoring ceremony for the MPDA’s cadres, His Highness voiced his pride in the efforts exerted, asserting that caring for people of determination is not a temporary initiative but rather a fundamental part of the MPDA’s vision and work methodology. “People of determination are a creative segment of society with boundless potential, and the MPDA never stops to create a supportive and stimulating environment that enables their active engagement in all areas, with innovative development programs and effective community partnerships,” His Highness noted.

The MPDA proceeds under integrated and systematic plans to strengthen its complementary relationship with people of determination, activate a methodology of direct communication with them, and engage them in formulating future plans to ensure the enhancement of well-being and life quality for all society members, His Highness added.

Engineer Noura Rashid Shattaf, the MPDA’s Executive Director of the Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector, said that the MPDA works tirelessly to serve the community and provide an urban environment that considers everyone’s needs. A host of high-quality facilities for the target group has been seen recently, with the aim of enhancing the quality of services and accelerating improvement efforts, she said.

It is noteworthy that winning of the award confirms the MPDA’s excellence in applying best community sustainability-related practices, promoting the concept of integration among various categories, and enhancing life quality in the Emirate of Ajman through pioneering initiatives designed to provide empowerment, support and motivation in various fields.
