Rashid bin Humaid Opens Ajman University Medical Center

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of Ajman Municipality & Planning Department and the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University, opened Ajman University Medical Center, in a qualitative step that reflects the journey of the enterprise transformation of the University into a non-profit organization, and confirms its commitment to bolstering its educational and communal role, and expanding the scope of its effect in service of the society.

Ajman University Medical Center is a significant addition to the healthcare and educational system of the Emirate of Ajman, as it contributes to improving the quality of the healthcare services provided to the members of the society, beside its role in supporting the development of academic programs, and the enhancement of integration between applied learning and the needs of the health sector.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi confirmed that the opening of the Center aligns with the principle of communal centrality, a guideline principle of Ajman Vision 2030, while he stressed: “The human being is the essential pillar of development, and sustainable prosperity is based on the coherence of the society, responding to its needs, and ensuring its welfare and quality of life. The Center embodies this trend by offering qualitative health services, and providing an applied educational environment that contributes to the preparation of qualified staffs that are able to serve the society and take part in the journey of its development.”

Ajman University Medical Center aims to provide an integrated system of specialized healthcare services according to the highest applicable medical standards, including dentistry, dermatology, cosmetics, laser, and public healthcare, within a modern infrastructure and advanced medical equipment. Furthermore, the Center provides an integrated clinical training environment for the students of health specializations, enhancing their practical skills and linking academic knowledge with professional practice, according to the requirements and practices of the health sector.

The opening ceremony witnessed an orientation tour at the facilities and specialized clinics of the Center, during which Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi inspected the course of the delivery of healthcare and treatment services, applicable work mechanisms, and the educational role undertaken by the Center in supporting the academic and training process of the University’s students.

From his side, Dr. Karim Seghir, the Chancellor of Ajman University, said: “The opening of Ajman University Medical Center is a pivotal milestone in the journey of the University’s development, reflecting its vision to enhance integration between education and communal service.” He also confirmed: “The Center contributes to the achievement of a sustainable communal impact, by the delivery of specialized healthcare services that contribute to improving the quality of lie, besides providing practical training opportunities for the students of health specializations, bolstering their professional readiness and enrooting the University’s association with the issues and needs of the society.”

The opening of the Center takes place in emphasis of the approach of Ajman University in launching qualitative initiatives that combine applied education and communal services, supporting the healthcare system, enhancing the quality of life, and contributing to the attainment of the sustainable development targets of the Emirate of Ajman.
