His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) visited the Rabat International Book Fair in Morocco, which features the Emirate of Sharjah as the guest of honor in its 30th edition.
During his visit, His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Al-Nuaimi met with His Excellency Mohammad Mehdi Bensaid, Moroccan Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, where he stressed the profound and resilient ties that bind the two fraternal nations across various domains, particularly in culture and intellectual heritage.
While touring the Fair, His Excellency Sheikh Rashid voiced his admiration for the displays of the Sharjah pavilion, commending the efforts of 18 Emirati cultural and academic institutions that vividly illustrate the significant investment in culture, heritage, and education.
His Excellency noted that the nation’s participation in this distinguished exhibition of knowledge bolsters cultural cooperation and exchange, and reinforces the strategic links between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Morocco.
His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Al-Nuaimi also explored the key initiatives and knowledge programs presented by Emirati publishing houses, along with initiatives undertaken by cultural institutions and heritage-focused artistic events.
His Excellency highlighted that the Emirati talents portray a positive image of creative minds in writing, literature, science, and knowledge, converging in a pioneering cultural beacon with an elite group of thinkers and readers, in a gathering that reflects the stature of culture and the importance of reading.
His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Hamid Al-Nuaimi expressed his pride in the Sharjah pavilion’s plan to present over 50 events, including intellectual sessions, poetry evenings, workshops for children and youth, and professional meetings with publishers and creators from both the UAE and Morocco.
