His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA), asserted that Flag Day is a cherished national occasion for all Emiratis and residents of the UAE. On this day, we renew our pledge of allegiance to our nation and its wise leadership, and voice our pride in our national identity and the long-standing unity established by our founding fathers, led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah have mercy on him, and his brothers, who dedicated themselves to building the Union and raising its flag high in the sky of glory and leadership.

“We take pride in and cherish the founding generation who laid the foundations of this towering edifice and raised the banner of Unity with unwavering resolve, strong will, and shared purpose,” His Excellency said, adding that Flag Day is not just a national celebration, but an expression of belonging and solidarity, and a renewal of the pledge to go on with the journey of building and development under a wise leadership that strives for the advancement of the nation and the dignity of its citizens.

His Highness noted that the UAE flag will remain an eternal symbol of love, peace, coexistence and tolerance, and a source of pride for every citizen and resident on the land. Raising the flag on this day embodies national unity and cohesion, and reflects the bright image of the UAE, which has become a beacon of peace, achievement and humanity for the entire world, His Excellency added.

This dear occasion renews our loyalty to our wise leadership, and reaffirms our commitment to continuing the journey of achievement and progress so that the UAE flag remains flying high, symbolizing strength, pride and dignity, and narrating the story of a safe and prosperous nation, confidently striding towards the future, His Excellency added.
