With the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the Chairman of the Executive Council, 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (2025APCS) & Mayors’ Forum kicked-off today, Monday, hosted by Expo City Dubai over the period 27-29 October, with the participation of more than 150 mayors and hundreds of city leaders, urban planners, and innovators from more than 300 cities worldwide.
Sheikh Rashid bin Human Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman, participated in the summit, accompanied by a delegation from the Government of Ajman.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi cognized the axes of the sessions and dialogues being hosted by the first summit of type in the region, addressing the future of smart cities and sustainable urban development, while he applauded the efforts of the Emirate of Dubai in organizing and hosting this global event that bolsters its position as a global hub of innovation and urban cooperation.
The delegation of Ajman Government in the summit consisted of H.E. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director-General of the Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman, H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al Hosani, the Executive Director of the Media Office of Ajman Government, and Dr. Saeed Al Hosani, the Executive Director of the Public Health & Environment Sector of the Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi conveyed his pride of the global summit that is shedding light on the governmental efforts in bolstering the position of the UAE as a global platform that brings together city leaders and creative people from various countries of the world to exchange expertise and knowledge and present successful experiences in building the cities of the future, while he emphasized: “The axis of the human being is based on sustainability, technology and innovation.”
He noted: “Expo City Dubai is an integrated model of the city of the future, combining advanced infrastructure and sustainable environment.”, while he emphasized: “This summit is an important step for launching new ideas and building innovative solutions that cope with the requirements of global cities.”
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi closed his visit by emphasizing: “Cooperation, integration, and the exchange of knowledge and expertise are the key for building a more flexible and sustainable urban future of a higher quality of life for the upcoming generations.”, while he conveyed his pride of that the UAE would be a launching hub of the dialogues that draw the features of the cities of the future worldwide.
