Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of Ajman Department of Municipality & Planning, emphasized: “Today, digital transformation has become a cornerstone in the journey of advancement and sustainable development”, while he applauded the efforts of the UAE in accelerating the pace of the adoption of modern technologies, and bolstering the framework of innovation and creativity throughout the various public and private sectors.

This took place during his visit of “GITEX Global 2025”, the most prominent technical event in the region in the field of technology and artificial intelligence (AI), held at Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) over the period from 13-17 October 2025.

During his visit of the stand participating in the fair, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi appreciated the collaboration of the efforts of all entities operating under the umbrella of the Government of Ajman, as he inspected the most significant digital projects and services that embody the Emirate’s trends towards a smart, flexible and sustainable government. He said: “Ajman is proceeding in confident steps towards the enhancement of its digital readiness, and the accomplishment of its vision in building an integrated system that depends on smart solutions to improve the quality of life, proceeding towards a smarter and more sustainable future.”

Furthermore, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi visited various locations of the fair, and inspected the latest innovations in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and smart cities, and listened to an explanation on the most prominent initiatives that contribute to supporting the future digital transformation and the development of a business environment that is based on knowledge and modern technologies.

At the end of his visit, he confirmed: “Digital leadership has become a criterion for the competitiveness of countries and cities. All entities, departments and organizations, and the private sector, are proceeding in the adoption of the best technological practices for the accomplishment of sustainable development, and the enhancement of the position of the UAE as a global destination of innovation and technology.”
